Celso Cortelli
Passenger Arrival Document
_______________________________________________________
Celso Cortelli arrived in Boston November 17 1903 from Genoa aboard the
Vancouver. He was not immigrating to the United States, but coming to visit
his sons Luigi and Giovanni of Plymouth. Exactly when Luigi and Giovanni came to the
United States is still a fact I'm hunting for. Aunt Eva said they came
together with a sister, but she went back to Italy. On three different
census reports, both brothers give three different years of immigration.
At any rate, they were both in Plymouth by 1900, as they are on that census.
It gave me great pleasure to send a printed out copy of this to Aunt Eva
who did not know her grandfather's name was Celso.
Below is the whole sheet with his name underlined in red
and below that a closer image of his name.
