Nona's sister Adele, and her husband Vincent Rimondi.
Giovanni Cortelli and Celso Cortelli.
Celso was the first baby born to Nona and her Giovanni.
He is listed on the 1910 Census, taken April 19, as being 7 months old.
He died a few weeks later, 7 May 1910, according to his death record,
at 8 months old, putting his birth month about September of 1909.
It's interesting to note that they named this baby Celso Anthony and after his
death, they named the next child Celso Anthony, or Charles Anthony,
better known to me as Grampa. That may have to do
with an old
Italian naming tradition. Generally, the first son is named after the paternal
grandfather.
The second son after the maternal grandfather. The first daughter after the
paternal grandmother. The second daughter after the maternal grandmother.
Giovanni and Elvira followed this tradition with all four of their children.
