William's Parents

Cornelia Tuttle Griffin was Grandma's grandmother. She was married to William Griffin, whose burial site is unknown to me at this time. William and Cornelia had three daughters, the middle girl,

Jesse, married Howard Christian and was Grandma's mother.

Cornelia's parents were David B. Tuttle and Augusta Layman,

who are also buried in West Settlement Cemetery.

Their gravestones can be seen on the Tuttle Gravestone page.

William's parents were Teman Griffin and Mary C. Myres.

William and Cornelia are #3 on the Griffin Family Genealogy.

Cornelia's grave currently is unmarked. This photo is one of

Grandma and Papa's from ca. 1947. Mom has some 8mm movies of Grandma and Papa's in which she, at about 5 years old, was running along the slate stone wall on the side of the cemetery by the road.

She didn't know where that film was taken until

we pulled up to the West Settlement Cemetery.
