Benjamin and Nancy (Rider) Gardner lived in Enfield, Mass., from at least 1850 until their deaths in 1888 and 1885 respectively.
This map of the Village, or center of town, was drawn to scale and includes the marked locations of the inhabitants living in the town at the time.
On the 1850 Federal Census of Enfield, the names surrounding Benjamin Gardner's family match those on the map. It's really quite fascinating.
The second map is of the whole town of Enfield. Benjamin and Nancy Gardner were my 4th Great Grandparents.
