Thank you for visiting my website! Doing my genealogy has been both very enjoyable and very time consuming. At times, even a little frustrating. But when you find that little shred of information you've been looking for it's like finding the buried treasure!

In all honesty, I've put this website together mostly for my own enjoyment. But also, so that my family members can visit from time to time and learn about their ancestry as I dig it up. It will be a work in progress for a long, long time, so come back to visit.

It's also important for me to note that the two surname lists above are only those of surnames of my ancestors, or people that married into the lines leading down to me, and does not contain the surnames of people who married siblings of my ancestors, or have married into my contemporary family of today. For example, my married name, Hall, is not included in this list, since I am not a descendant of this name. If this were my child's ancestry, Hall would be included. I have, however, included any surnames I found in my research on the various family genealogy reports. For example, in the Cortelli Family Genealogy, I am listed as person "5. iii" and my husband's name is listed there with me, as are the maiden names of my sisters-in-law.

If you are doing your own research, please confirm the facts before entering them into your own project. I've found errors in other's research and although I've tried very diligently to be accurate, human error is always a factor.

I've separated the list of surnames into those associated with Mom's side, LAW, and those with Dad's side, CORTELLI. Some are links to that name's Family Contents page which contains links to all research and information I have at present. There is more information on some names than others. Names that are italicized have recently been made into links.

A family tree has many branches, which themselves have branches and on it goes. I started

this project in February 2006 and at first to keep my research manageable, decided to follow just

eight surnames or last names: the four of my paternal great-grandparents and the four of my

maternal great-grandparents. I call these the "Main Eight" names. These appear in bold print below. Since then, I have been able to branch out and continue to add to my file. Names that have been added since the opening of this site in August 2007 are followed by an asterisk.
